I am a visitor in America, presently in Phoenix AZ.

Can someone direct me to a place I can view any DILA projectors

I am from Malaysia and I presently own a Sony 10HT. There are no DILAs available back home, just want to be blown away (for once)

Thanks, WK

Hugo lives in Phoenix and I'm sure would be glad to give you a demo.

Do a search for "Hugo" and e-mail him.

Hi WK,

I've been reading this great AVS Forum for quite sometime now and I sure did learnt a lot from all these "fanatics, die hard, gurus" whatever you call them or whoever they are out there (thanks a lot guys http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/smile.gif ) but did not register till I read your post!

I lived in Singapore, just next you (Malaysia).

I'm quite surprised that you could not get a D-ILA in your region cause I do know some people who own them!

For your info, JVC Professional Asia is participating in a Hi-Fi cum Home Theatre Show this coming November in Singapore featuring the stunning 1000:1 contrast ratio model DLA-M5000SC, home theatre model DLA-G150HT and the latest D-VHS Hi-Def Player model HM-DH30000U.

Please write to me and maybe I can tell you more!

Cheers,

Fuzz,

Sounds like a great show! I hope you can make it.

My one tip would be to know the prices of these units going in to the show. The 'high-end' D-ILAs have a pricing slippery slope!

The G1000 looks awesome (about $4000 used) until you see a G15 (~$9000). The G15 looks awesome until you see the G150HT (~$25,000) or calibrate and hush the G15.

That G5000SC D-ILA (7000 lumens) is totally amazing on a 25 foot wide screen (!), but will run you $75,000 USD. Finally, if they show the QXGA D-ILA projector, your jaw will drop completely off your face...as it should with a price tag of $225,000!

Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that if you are shopping for a D-ILA, don't even look at the G5000SC...that way you won't know what you're missing if you would like to put one in your home theater http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/biggrin.gif .

Milori,

Yep, looking forward for the show http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/cool.gif

Not to worry, I will keep you posted with the pricing.

I'm not too concerned about the big guns anyway, but just want to see the 1000:1 on the 5000SC and especially the Home Theatre Tweaked G150HT DILA so called "film like qualities".

Hey, I thought the DLA-M5000SC is just 5000ANSI and DLA-QX1G is 7000ANSI?

Cheers,
