I wonder if you guys can help me

I have a copy of dilard both 2.42 and 3.0


But I can't get the backup wizard to work properly with either


With Version 3.0

It loads up OK, but when I drag the elements that I want to backup I get a message stating that the projector cannot be connected. Even though it seems to know that I have a G15

I have tried as the wizard suggest running the projector detection wizard and then running the backup wizard again but still no joy

I have ensured that no other Dilard programs are running at the same time so the port should not already be open


With version 2.42:

Everything seems to backup - except for the area data which does not backup at all - The notices and Errors window pop's up with the following error across all sources:

"Could not backup XXXX Computer X Area Data. Data was incorrectly reported by the projector (Automation Error)

Attachment was too big re the 2.42 errors I'll try again

IIRC these errors are "normal" for 2.4 and of no consequence. And IIRC you might be able to back them up individually--one at a time.

Nope I tried backing them up individually but no joy


Did you get the same errors when you calibrated your projector

The weird thing is that the stock G15 backup that you can still get from the Dilard site has these backed up

It has been a couple years but I recall having gotten similar errors, reporting them to Mark (Dilard), and being told this was ok and not to worry.

I get such errors when running 2.4.2 often but not always. I have always found that backing items up one at a time solves the problem (no errors). Sometimes I have to back up individual components, like the green gamma rather than all the gamm.
