Ok,

I am really confused on this dilard calibration tool. Set me straight on ONE thing and then the rest will fall into place.

Am I supposed to connect the rgb or dvi from my pc to the projector and run the tests from the screen on the pc? Or do I run the tests from the out put from the projector like I would watching a dvd? I know fundamentally it is a REALLY dumb question but I am still confused. Help

Connect the PC to the projector with either VGA or DVI and run the tests with the colorimeter pointing towards the projector's lens. Some of the Dilard wizards require the projector to be on standby (like backing up the Area Data) so for these you'll need to use a computer monitor.

Cheers,

Dave.

Sean,

David is correct, with the exception of the "standby" requirement, which is D-ILA specific. The 5500 allows all data to be read/written with the projector in any mode, but of course, it will only output an image when powered on.
