What is the best combination of filters for software playback of HD transport streams or HD MPEG2 files? Elecard/Sasem/Intervideo/NVDVD or a combination thereof? From an efficiency standpoint (lower CPU usage) as well as image quality.

Sorry to say, there is no answer to your question. Everyone's setup is different, and different filters behave differently on said system.
