Could anyone tell me which DirecTV-compatible receivers will work with a JVC HM-DH 3000U? I have the Hughes HTL-HD, which is very good but does not have a fire wire out (to go to the JVC to record in HD). Input appreciated.

As far as I know there are no Directv boxes that have Firewire output. However, I believe there is a company called 169time that is able to convert some of the older Directv boxes such as the RCA DTC100 to have a Firewire output.
