Does anybody know how to connect a RTV 5040 to a DirecTV D10 Satellite box for purposes of controlling channels? I was told the D10 could be made by one of many manufacturers - On the back it says "Mfg Code: 100".


Can I use the "low speed data" port (RG24 I think)? Where do I get a cable? ----- Or is there an IR code that works (I haven't found one...).


Very frustrating... I left cable because of the lousy support... but DirecTV had no clue was I was even trying to do.

As far as I know, you have to use the serial port (low speed data port).

You're right - I thought I did search for it first but I am not a frequent user of this site and probably did it incorrectly.
