I currently have DirecTv (connected to two tv's) and DirecWay using the single oval dish. I want to replace one of the Hughes STBs with the Zenith HD520. Do I need to do anything special (i.e. add/change equipment) to receive HDNet and HBOHD (I already have the HBO package) or can I just swap the box? Will I need to call DirecTv to tell them I swapped boxes?

Why swap? I have had my Mit STB for almost 2 years now..no problems. There seems to be some problems with newest generation. Read the comments on this forum. When a STB is exchanged, do call Directv. You should be getting HDNET now as it is free.

"Why swap?"

I should have pointed out, the Hughes STBs I currently have are not the HD type.

Ok, I now understand. You may still want to consider..a Directv type STB..MIT..Hughes, etc. Less money and reliable for the most part. New Directv Boxes out next Spring/Summer I understand.
