Hi,

Is it possible to recieve just HDNet with Directv?


I have called Directv twice and they said it was possible to get the $40.00 package and receive HDNET for free using the dual/triple LNB dish and a HD STB.


I really want to get HDNET but don't want to pay $80.00+ since I really don't care for HD-Showtime and HD-HBO.

The least expensive 'Total' package will get you HDNet.

I pay $19.99 for the Phoenix TV Package which allows me to receive HD NET, which is all I really wanted.

If you do a search on customer retension, you can get some better deals on getting HDnet as well as other channels. I'm not trying to scam D*, but it can't hurt to try to get more.

Will the customer retention deals work if I am a new, non-existing customer? All I have seen, is the $32 deal, $40 deal, and $80 deal.


I'd love to get some type of rebate from D* on my new SAT-HD200, but I doubt it is likely to happen.
