I've recently acquired a used DTC-100 receiver which will be used strictly for reception of HDnet. I've scheduled an installation of a single 18" dish next week for this purpose. A couple of questions:

1) If my installer points the dish at 119 only will DirecTV be able to activate my account?

2) With a single dish pointed at 119 is there any onscreen programming guide available or does DirecTV only provide a guide via their 101 bird? With my DISH network setup (single dish pointed at 61.5) I get an updated guide all the time...

Thanks

When I first activated my DirecTV account, I had only a single 18" dish, pointing to 119. It worked fine for me.

I was also able to get the program guide on 119. The only things I found missing were the stations on the 101 satellite.
