My current system:

standard round directv dish, single lnb, dual cable coming into the house

(only one carrying a signal), standard hughes directv satellite box (no

dolby digital or anything).

I have just acquired a Toshiba DST3000 settop box, with dolby digital and

hdtv decoding built-in, to match my Toshiba HDTV-ready TV.

What do I need to do, dish-wise, to get my system going on HDTV (HBO and

Pay-per-view)?

Do I need a new, oval dish? Do I need a second lnb? Will I need anything

else?

Is this something I can do myself? What's the best way to go about it? Will

the dish need to be aimed in a different direction? Whom should I contact in

the Long Beach, CA area if this is not a job I should do myself?

Any feedback will be appreciated.

thanks

You'll either need to repoint your current dish to 119W satellite in you only care about receiving HBOHD (509) and D*' HD demo/PPV channel (119). You'll need the 24"X18" dish or get a second 18" dish(and a multiswitch) for 119W. You can find the details from www.dbsforums.com technical forum board.
