Hi all,
I've just recently noticed something when viewing 720p HD broadcasts (KABC, Los Angeles) on my Mits 55905/Dish 6000 combo. Whenever there is a camera change, after a couple of seconds there is a quite noticeable brightness or color shift. It's as if the 6000 is compensating for something, and it takes it a couple seconds to do it.
I really got annoyed with this the other night while watching 'Alias', during a conversation scene between 2 characters, shot with two cameras, and each character had a very different background behind them. One person talks, color-shift, other person talks, color-shift, etc.
Has anyone else noticed this? It doesn't seem to happen with any HD format other than 720p, and I'm guessing it's an artifact of the 6000s 720p-1080i conversion.
Dave
