Is the 720P/1080i switch in the HDTV setup tell the receiver what to send out to the TV? I have a Mits WS55805 which uses 1080i for HD. I've tried switching it to 720P but most stations won't work. I just wanted to verify my assumption that I need to keep the receiver on 1080i.

Thanks,

Jeff

Jeff,

If your TV doesn't do 720p, leave the output set to 1080i for HD material. Since the Mitsubishis don't do 720p, I'd just keep it in 1080i. If your Mits has a VGA input, you might want to consider using the RGB input instead of the component cable. You won't find nearly as much consensus on which of those is better, RGB or component.
