Nothing came up on a search for this problem....

Sometimes after I've been flipping channels, my 6000 "looses" channels, i.e., I cannot tune to them. The "lost channels" show up in the program guide but if I select them I get the next one down that it has not "lost". Anyone have any ideas?

I lost a bunch of channels w. my BEV 6000 yesterday. They didn't show up on the guide and i couldn't tune to them. In fact, the guide was simply acting flaky.

In the past when i had problems w. our DTV box, simply unplugging it for a few seconds did the trick and corrected the situation.

I did that w. the 6000 box - unplugged it for only 10 seconds, and everything worked.

It is similar to rebooting a computer when it simply locks up.

I think this was the first time in 15 months this has happened w. the 6000.

BTW, simply turning it off doesn't do it - the box is really still on. You have to unplug it.
