OK, first off, sorry if this isn't the right forum.

I have 2 computers running into the same Acer H233H monitor. My older computer is XP. Other computer is brand new build by me and has Vista, gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P, Radeon HD4870, Intel E8400. New comp goes in hdmi port and older goes dvi.

My annoying issue is: The new comp display doesn't fill the monitor screen like the XP does. Theres about a 1/2" black strip on all 4 sides. Being brand new to Vista, I'm still feeling my way around. Oh, both resolutions are 1920 X 1080.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for replying. I don't know what overscan is. In the control center for the vid card, I'm already on the highest resolution. There is a button called "force" that looks like you can force the display to be lower only because 1920 x 1080 is the highest.
