How far apart should front speakers be places from each other?

It depends on the speaker...

My speakers are original Energy Take 5's.

I would recommend between 6-8' and 24-36" off the back wall... Start at about 6' and move them until you find the "sweet spot" same goes for the distance off the back wall.

I sit about 9 feet away from my screen and my speakers are currently 5 feet apart from each other. Should I move them?
