Is there a preferred distance for the L/R flat panel speakers away from a tv? How about the center?

It's considered ideal for the L/R and LP to constitute an equilateral triangle. Put the center above or below the screen.
LP? Little help. Newbie here.

Listening position.
Just what I needed. I always thought the look of right next to the tv was weird. Thanks.

A lot of people put the Flat Panel speakers close, due to placement restrictions,

due to room set-up, or TV placement (fire place).

However, if you have room to spread them, then do it.
