I'm building a theater which is 16.2 ft long. I'm planning on a 7 ft wide 16:9 screen, but I'd like 2 rows of seating, which in the planned config puts the front seating position at 7'6" from the screen. I know that recommendations are min 1.5x screen width, and the second row will fit the bill comfortably.


Does anyone have seating as close as my first row for this size screen? How bad will the artifacting really be at that distance? Any recommendations regarding projectors parameters (technology, resolution, etc) that will ensure I don't have a problem with this first row?
