I bought the Creative X-Fi Elite Pro sound card and I want to use it to decode. To do this it would seem my only option is to buy Creative's home theater cable . This is a negative for me as the cable is clearly consumer grade and it won't be long enough to run from my PC to my receiver.
I want to make the cable myself. It would appear to use balanced (TRS) 3.5mm jacks that break out into 3 RCA cables. Where can I find these as a DIY connector?

Thanks in advance!

Well one of the cables uses TRS the other 2 are not, and TRS will not work. There is nothing wrong with those cables. Radio Shack sells them as well. I did a search for you at Markertek for just the 1/8 ends but they dont stock them.
