This past weekend we finally got all of the junk moved out from infront of the HT screen. However, with that went the coffee table that the center speaker was sitting on. After some initial brainstorming on how to address the issue (and leaving the speaker on the floor got thrown out) I came up with a basic shelf bracket made from 3/4" pipe. I'm "lucky" enough to have a crawl space right behind the screen as a location to run wires through so I mounted and "L" made from pipe to the crawl space door and attached a small wooden shelf to it.

One nice benefit of using the pipe as a shelf bracket was being able to run the speaker wires through it. I was also able to run the cable for my IR keyboard through it and mount the receiver to the underside of the shelf.

I spray painted the entire shelf flat black. With the dark purple masking cloth it basically disappears with the lights out (just need to disconnet the power LED from the keyboard receiver). Of course this made it somewhat difficult to get good pictures of as well.

Just thought someone might find this idea useful.
