Has anybody had a crack at making their own DVI cable(s) and succeeded? Is it possible?

Considering the number of pins involved in attaching a connector I'd say it's more trouble than it's worth.

Besides, http://www.pacificcable.com sells high quality DVI cables for much less than most companies.
Well, a 10 metre DVI cable is quite expensive, so I reckon the hassle could be well worth it. I just want to know what cable is inside, ie: is it coax and how to connect the pins.
I agree - it's too much trouble.

You can get a 10m DVI-D cable from pccables.com for $88 USD.
