I am thinking about having a second row on a riser. I plan on splitting up our current sectional couch unit. The seats do not recline and I was thinking about building a flip down foot rest attached to the back of the first row seating. Has anyone done something like this or seen it? I think it could work out really well...

Thanks!

I guess it could be done. But I do'nt think I would like it if I was in the front row, while someone was using the back of my seat as a footrest. Feeling someone moving around behind me while I'm watching a movie is too real a theater experience for me.

I'm sure I've seen something very similar but in church they call them kneelers. Little fold down benches.

You could take this design to the next level to create foot rests.

Make sure you "decouple them from the back of the front seats so it does not disturb the people with the choice seats.
