I made a screen out of canvas. I have painted it a very light grey and wanted to know if anyone here who has painted a screen used any type of overcoating to protect the paint? These are clear and available as a matte finish.

I have a black metal entertainment center where my tv and equipment is. so i used a couple pieces of black steel wire and wraped it around the tubing on the entertainment center. Barley noticeable. On the back of the screen i used two of those mirror hooks (for lack of a better term). I just hang it on there like a picture. Works well.


I do not know about gluing it to anything because i built a frame then streched and stapled the canvas to the back of it. Very simple.
