I plan on getting a retractable screen someday that comes out of drop ceiling. For now however, this is working out very nicely. Total cost less then $50, and I still have lots of paint and felt left over.

Beautiful photos. Who said LCD can't do blacks I noticed some keystoning. You can use your left over felt to mask it straight if you like. I personally don't care if there is a little keystoning. I went the other extreme and use tileboard for 4-5 gain instead of gray which means 0.9 gain. I see that white appears white unless you have a white screen side by side to compare. Blacks really look good with the grey paint. I may pain my tile board eventually just to see if it'll improve contrast. My projector is a bit dim (VPL-CX1 or 550 lumens) so I'm afraid to go low gain. What do you think, Jeeper?

Actually, there is no keystoneing in the image itself. I have it ceiling mounted and set-up without doing any keystone correction. The keystoneing you are seeing is from the camera location of the photos. I took the 'Mr. Freeze' picture standing up, and slightly off axis. Notice it is keystoned the other direction and I moved, oops. So I took the others with camera on seat. Not burry, but you get that view from lower then normal. I have the projector (Sony VPL-VW10HT) on 'light saving' mode which is less brightness, longer bulb life, and slower (quieter) fan. I believe the output with this setting is 700 lumens (Not positive, correct me if I'm wrong) So, I don't think a gray screen will make your image too dark Huey. You might want to experiment.
