Hi,

I tried all evening getting bitstream dts-hd or truehd out of my Panasonic dmp-bd30 player connected with HDMI to my Onkyo SR-TX875. Everything I found on the Internet suggests it should work. These are the settings used: the speakers to multichannel, all the audio formats to bitstream, with the Secondary Audio and the PCM Down Conversion both to Off.

I tried multiple blu-ray discs with either dts-hd ma or truehd tracks. Yes, I selected the correct HD track on the discs. All it shows is 'DTS' on the received, and when pressing 'display' on the Onkyo it reads 'DTS 5.1'. I expected something like 'DTS HD MA' or similar.

I tried all settings and listening modes on the Onkyo, and tried all audio settings on the Panasonic. I can't get it to work. What am I missing here?

Thanks!

You are using HDMI right? Is so make sure the player is set to 720p or higher. You are not outputting 480 right?
