one solution might be resetting it to factory default.....I'm not sure if the receiver has an option to reset everything but an easy way to do it is disconnecting the battery....wait at least 10mins and see if that helps

DNX6140 and Iphone 3Gs
Up until today, my iphone would charge through the 301ip-v cable, also now having a problem with music playing while calling, it hadnt done this for a month, now its happening. using 3.1.2 on iphone

If that does not work then a possible update on your phone could have caused it not to function with your Kenwood
Try cleaning out the connector on the cable. That thing just collects lint.
