It's normal. The blue isn't filtered due to the loss of light output from filtering. Since blue typically near saturation point the loss of light output isn't worth it for filtering the blue.

It cuts into the light output. But, It gives better color. In the case of the 127x, I think it's worth it because mine seems to have light output to spare. In my room with fair light control (almost no stray light) and a 74" wide 1.77 screen there doesn't seem to be any lack of light output.


The 127x has been listed incorrectly in articles and stuff as not having the filters but they are there and reds are really red not orange as in a non-color filtered projector.


This is why some other projectors in the same class as the 127x series often quote higher ANSI lumens, It's the lack of color filtering.
