Do any video cards have component video input and/or output???

Searching hasn't produced any results. The 8500DV dongle seems to be vaporware.

A capture card that worked with DScaler would be great too.

Thanks!

i think there are cards with component video input out there. I am not sure where though. I remember someone saying they cost a real lot.

The Canopus DVRex RT Pro has a breakout box that includes analog component I/O. The MSRP is $4400, it requires dual CPUs, and it tops out at 720x480.

The Matrox RT2500 can be found for $750.

If anone has experience with this card I would love a review.

This is the card I plan on using to dump my LD's to DVD-r

You know, this thread makes me wonder... Since Y/C (s-video) and Y/Pr/Pb arn't THAT different, if two Conexant BT8x8 based cards were used (one for Y/Pr, the other for Pb), it might be possible to capture the Y/Pr/Pb signals... I wonder if dScaler could add them back together to create the YUV overlay?

Edit: Half baked idea... The 8x8 stuff is only good for 480i :(
