Hi, I am moving into a new house. I am confused on where to put the rears and could use some suggestions.

The room I am putting my equipment in a room about 12 feet long. The couch is going up against the wall. I have ordered the DefTech SR-8080BP's for the surrounds and putting on stands. I wanted to know for the rears (I wanted to get DefTech UIW BP/A's) :

1) Do I put in then In-Ceiling or In Wall
2) if in-wall, where about for the location, how high off the ground in the wall and how far apart?
3) if in-ceiling, where about for the location, how far away from the wall/ceiling edge and how far apart?

The placement of the speakers on here comes out skewed. The fronts and sr's are going where they should. Above this room is the attic, so I have availability to run wires in the wall or in ceiling from receiver.

Neither. Stick with 5.1. The rears should be at least three feet behind the listening position. I would also look at the 5.1.2 Dolby Atoms configuration.

I really wanted 7.1 though and my Onkyo SR-805 is not Atmos ready. "yet"... )
