I have the Kenwood VR-7070 100w receiver and I was planning to buy the Velodyne Deco System but I'm not sure my receiver will power these speakers. Do I have a good match?

How big is your room? Are you using the Kenwood now, what volume setting do you use. What is the sensitivity on the Velodyne compared to what you have now.


If you normally play your receiver at -20 or quieter, and the Velodyne sensitivity is within 5 dB of your current speakers you will be fine. You may turn it up a couple of notches.

Your Kenwood will drive them fine. I have listened to the Deco system on lesser powered HK and Onkyo receivers and they drove them fine.
