Do I need a different hdmi cable to get 3d from ps3 to mitsubishi dlp 3d tv. Im getting tv on saturday and want to be ready. thanks!

More than likely, no. Any high speed HDMI cable will work. I am using cables sold as HDMI 1.3 and they work fine.

Congrats on your new TV! Which one did you get?

All of these cables are HDMI ATC tested; the certifications for the 24 AWG cable are: HDMI 1.2, up to 40 feet; HDMI 1.3 Category 2, up to 20 feet. The 28 AWG cables are 1.3 Category 2 certified to 10 feet, and Category 1 to 15 feet.

Cool

Someone else mentioned that I can turn off flashing something on my tv and they couldnt on their older mitsubishi. What does this mean?

These TVs have DLP-Link, which is a white flash in the picture emitted by the DLP chip to be used with DLP-Link glasses, which work the same as IR glasses, except they use this flash to sync, instead of an IR signal from an external emitter. This flash appears to skew the color of black slightly when using IR glasses. In 2010 TVs it can be switched off.

Ok cool so on my tv it can be switched off? I was reading about a greenish tint. Is this what you are talking about. Also, any suggestions on some extra glasses I can buy? I would like two more pairs besides the two that come with the kit.

Yes, it will be in the manual. The green tint is what I'm talking about.

Samsung glasses work, and now there is a cheaper brand being discussed in the forums http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1285791
