I am replacing the coolent in my green CRT. When I removed the old coolent. I was surprised to see tha it is green. The coolent I have is clear. Do I need green coolent?

While the phosphor is green and you will STILL have color, the green ink used to tint the glycol is used to attempt to match the color characteristics of the projector to the CIE coordinates, you may be satisfied without it.

But if you want the same good color performance then you better search for some posts from b.hegelstad (did I spell that correct?).

He tinted the coolant with ink for ink jet printers...
