Plus, you still need to define non-native resolutions for theatertek to use.

However, the main use of Powerstip is to define NEW resolutions. The optimal resolution, the "sweet spot" for

your CRT projector, is probably not one of the preprogrammed resolutions. If you have a D-ILA digital projector, the

native D-ILA resolution is definitely not one of the preprogrammed resolutions in any video card I've found.


So for Powerstrip's main purpose - there is no substitute.

So with the new theater tek I can set the resolution I want it to play back at (to match my desktop or whatever res I want). Does this then mean I don't need Dscaler or is Dscaler more meant for PVR buff ups?
