If you have a spare pro-logic receiver and surround pre-outs on you DD receiver then you can accomplish this by connecting the prologic receiver via the CD input to the preouts of you DD receiver. Then connect the all three speakers to the front l/r and center on to the prologic receiver, and set the prologic receiver to 3 stereo. This only works for 5.1 applications, prologic applications from you DD receiver will collapse all sound to the rear center, so when using prologic, t.v. or vhs viewing set the prologic receiver to stereo. Hopes this helps.

See my thread on adding EX,AvDoc told me how to set it up with Y splits out of the DD recievers output. I liked it so much that I bought the Smart Jr. EX add-on unit and am pleased very much with it.If you follow AvDoc's map to EX there will be no soundfield collapse!
