I'm in the market for a new TV (the Panasonic TC-P42G10 is at the top of my list). Has anyone who has this particular TV have any uniformity issues, ie a white screen is white on every inch of the TV without blotches of color? I'm very bothered by this effect and this is one of the reasons I'm avoiding LCDs due to clouding and banding.

Recently got the TC-P50G10 and haven't seen any uniformity issues. Have a build date of April 09 with the 1.28 fw via SD applied. I've used the AVHDCD and when it fills the screen with the white 1080p page all sections of the screen are uniform.

I switched from LCD to this Plasma so picture quality and the deep rich colours are mind blowing!

I had two 54G10s with bad DSE like streaks on the screen, I later got a 54V10 as a replacement and it was streak free, but the AR filter was MUCH worse. I no longer have any of them though thanks to the problem in my sig.
