I was just wondering if projection tvs, get better after a week or so of being on and getting the bulb up into shape. I think I remember reading that people were saying that it takes a couple weeeks for the picture and image to reach its full potential when the tv is right out of the box. I just wanted to know if this was true. I have a sony kdf 50e3000.

Not sure if they get "better", but they do change a little as the lamp settles in. You may want to wait a couple of weeks before you change your tweaks.

Black levels will get better on LCD RP's with a little time on the lamp.

True, because as the lamp ages, the screen gets a little darker, and with less light, the blacks will improve all things being the same.

Evolvo, I also have the KDF-50E3000 and used a THX DVD to adjust my settings. I'm sure it isn't the absolute best it can be, but it did help quite a bit. Just look for a DVD that you have which has been mastered by THX and you'll find an audio/video set-up guide on it.

Enjoy your set!
