Do SXRD's Suffer From Dead Pixels?

The guy at Sears electronics department claims that the SXRD's do not suffer from dead pixels. Is this true? Thanx in advance. Love this forum.

LCOS can suffer from dead pixels, and stuck on pixels. The SXRD is so high in resolution that it would be a pretty minor thing if a pixel is dead.
Not only is the resolution high, LCoS sets typically have 3 chips, meaning even if a pixel is dead, that pixel is only missing a third of its information, it won't be a constant white or constant black spot.
Thanx a lot guys. Off to CC to grab me one.
My JVC lcos has a stuck green pixel that is only noticeable on a grey or black screen very close. Probably won't notice it on your 1080p.

BTW-I would strongly suggest NOT hunting for a stuck pixel once you pass your return date and are happy with the pic.

Sometimes they don't go off (or on) as "onesies." I had a cluster of 4 on RP-LCD go red. Very visible in almost everything.
