Do you currently have 4800 firmware on your X1?

Never have, probably never will.

I use my effects button way to much for a nominal gamma change.

Any my remote can control my mouse when I want it to...

I just wish I had the backlit version *shrug*

Never Have and I won't if I lose my effects button to change the aspect ratio on the fly. But I'd like to see what the gamma change might do.


However, we just watched Finding Nemo and, while the story isn't as strong for me as TS or TS2 or even Monsters, Inc., the color is really astounding. The X1 has some really sweet color!

I like the color better with the 4800 firmware. It is subtle, but looks better to me.

I do not change the aspect ratio too often. So no big deal.


It is very simple and easy to load/reload 4800 or X1 firmware. If you are not totally disinterested, it is probably worth it to satisfy the mild curiosity you may have. Cheap amusement.


I am sticking with 4800.
