My brand new SIR-T165 works great, except that most times when I turn it on, the analog audio outputs are completely garbled on digital TV stations. When this problem is active, the audio sounds very broken up, as if it is turned on and off 10 times a second. This problem stays for a while, and then disappears. During this problem period, the analog outputs are OK for analog TV stations, but all digital stations have the issue.

I suspect that this is a problem with my specific box, but before returning it I'd like to hear if anyone else has experienced the same problem ?

I've tried turning on/off DRC, and setting output mode to PCM/Dolby and re-starting. No difference.

I still am trying to figure out when the problem goes away. It seems more likely to go away when tuning in a digital channel that is off air.

Any feedback/ideas welcome, thanks !
