I have my PS3 hooked up to my BRAVIA XBR2 using HDMI and sometimes the picture will go black temporarily for 3 seconds or so before coming back on. This is kind of rare, and I can't recreate this issue. Has this happened to anyone else?

I got a 6 ft Monoprice HDMI cable (24 AWG)

mine doesn't do that and i have the same cable (w/ sxrd tv). maybe a faulty cable?


they're so cheap just buy another one and see if it happens again. if it doesn't return the bad one

Do you think it matters between the 28 and 24 AWG? I might buy a few 3 ft cables...

For what it's worth, I have 3-foot Monoprice cables (the ones with ferrite cores) and have never had any loss of signal. I have had occasional audio handshake problems, but I think that is more a fluke of my receiver.

nope. No such problem here w/ a 35-ft Monoprice HDMI-DVI cable

I have the 10ft 24AWG and it has happened to me 2 - 3 time. Only in resistance. Not during Full Auto, BR movies, or demos...very odd. It seems like a handshake issue.
