Does anyone know how to fix "Invalid Tuner ID 0" error in Meedio?

I am having a problem with my hauppauge pvr-500 in meedio. Every time I try to watch tv it says Invalid Tuner ID 0. I have fiddled withe the audio video settings in the tv wizard, I have tried to scan available channels, it says something about lockprofile something or other. I am using Vista home premium, and mce works with the card just fine. Does mce lock out other programs from using the card? I googled this and all forum posts on meedio have been taken down.
