Well my 100inch Dragonfly screen is hung and the HC4900 dialed in.


Next...carpeting and then moving the speakers down stairs.


Problem....I only left myself 15inches to the side of the screen to put my SVS 16-46+. I know the Diameter of the sub is 16inches, but that pretty much puts it flush with where the screen lines up.

Then, if I want to add a 2nd I only have 15inches on the other side.


I have 12 feet across of floorspace with 22inches from floor to bottom of the screen. I could lay the sub flat on its side.....then lay a 2nd sub too...


anyone ever do this?


(The new Ultra at 22inches high would sit so perfectly right under the screen).....oh boy...what to do now!!!

Looks like you are going to have to rip out your walls and start over, Brad.


I don't know why you ask this. You must have seen the pictures people have posted of their tube on their sides. Some have used the foam packing from the SVS shipping box to act as a cradle. Everyone that has tried this says it works fine.

The walls were already there or I would have done things different.


Plus the 92inch screen was just too small

I would say at least 2 feet, given the 16" diameter of the SVS sub plus the few inches its away from the wall and the depth of the center speaker.


I'd say its 34-36" away from the wall to the front of the center.


But what do I know

I'm thinking of doing this and centering the sub laying down right in front of the screen. Then building a small platform that connects to the wall and lays flat on top of the sub for support to set my center channel speaker on.


Thoughts... comments??
