Im not debating wether blue ray masters should have DNR, I am discussing it on the user end.

I recently purchased a algolith flea. It does mosquito, 2d, and 3d noise reduction, and block noise reduction, it is apperantly the best.

My understanding is however that these are for mpeg2 sources like satellite and dvd. However a freind mentioned the denon with realta allows noise reduction on blue ray.

My question is I know algolith has more advanced noise reducing system, but does noise reduction even apply to blueray, since most all are avc or vc-1 encoded?

The question is kind of beyond my scope of knowledge.
