Does changing iris on Mits 3000 require adjustment in contrast level?

860 Views 2 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  wfrick
If my Mitsubishi HC3000 is calibrated with the iris in closed position, will the increased light output in open iris mode require that the contast be adjusted down to keep from blowing out highlights? Or does opening the iris just shift the brightness of 0 to 100 IRE similarly so that no contrast adjustment would be needed?

Thanks!

Calibrating contrast and brightness is generally intended to match source and display voltages. Upping the light output won't change that, it will just make everything brighter.
Thanks for the input! I'm glad no recalibrating would be necessary.
