I have been running my radeon AIW at 32bit color. this is higher than the (24 bit) 16.7 million colors the LT150 says it produces?

If so, does this cause the projector to do more work thereby reducing picture quailty? perhaps additional dithering, etc?

24 and 32 bpp color depth are identical for our purposes.

Each of them have 3 channels (RGB) of 8 bits each for a total of 24 bits (16.7 million colors). To align on a 32 bit boundary, the last 8 bits of 24 bpp are unused on a 32 bit OS.

Recently, the last 8 bits have been used to store information about Alpha transparency (Win XP uses this a lot), but for home theater, there is no difference between the two.

(* Unless somebody someday comes up with partially transparent DVD movies :D)
