I just got my L300 yesterday and was fiddling with it last night. I wasnt sure if the unit was receiving 480p from my xbox or not. Is there a way to check what type of signal it is receiving from different devices? (dvd,xbox,etc)

Click on the menu button, scroll down to "Picture", and the signal being received will display at the bottom of the screen. And now, before you do any damage, READ THE MANUAL!!

I READ the freaking manual, it just says that it tells you 525I for component. Which I know my XBOX wont do 525I so it didnt make any sense. I read the manual front to back as soon as I got the projector.

L300 reading: Real World Translation:


525I = 480I

525P = 480P

750P = 720P

1080I = HDTV60


Standard NTSC is 525 lines vertical resolution with only 480 lines viewable. This is not in the L300 manual. Xbox only plays DVD's in 480I (525I). All games (or at least most) are at least 480P (525P). Make sure to check your Xbox dashboard settings and enable progressive out.
