I'm going to be replacing my 12 year old Advent Legacy III main speakers, likely with Athena AS-F2's or JBL E90's, because they are damaged. I also have a 12 year old Energy ECC-1R center speaker in the system. It sounded fine to me with the Advents, but I'm concerned about it being the weak point in the system with the new mains, especially since it delivers so much of the sound in movies, TV, and even music.
Does anyone know how the old Energy center is likely to compare to a new one that would go with the mains (appropriate model of same brand)?
