I have 2 older receivers an older Denon AVR87 and an H/K AV500

I use the Denon in my room and the H/K down stairs with my projector. I notice though when watching movies the H/K has an overly loud dynamic range when watching action movies or somthing with alot of special effects.

The Denon has a compression setitng called D.Comp that you can set to off, low, med and high wich progressively reduces the dynamic range of the effects.

Am i missing a setting on the H/K or does it just not have this feature? I like it on the Denon it seems to work good.
