Topic title. I have to buy from Best Buy and the more I wait for the B750 to drop in price the more I realize that I hate waiting to buy a TV. Especially when the difference will more than likely be negligible to me as I'm no videophile...

That said, an extreme blue-ish tint is not something I want. I can't see it in the stores on the 640, but I can't see it on the 650 either. I've bought and returned so many TV's from my local BB's the last few months (52B550, 52V5100, 52A650) that I'm really tired of bothering them. I just want a good set.

So how about it? Is the blue-ish tint present on anyone's 640?

I compared a B650 and a B750 side by side at the same horizontal/vertical viewing level and on the units that I got the difference in the blueish tint between the two was minimal at best. The B750 did seem to darken/crush lower level detail so maybe this is what the reviewers liked.

I saw 2 different B640s at two different BBs and they both looked washed out next to the B650 and B750. The looked almost as it the HDMI black level was set incorrectly which would cause black levels to raise. When I first viewed them though I hadn't thought about this setting however I thought BB's loop was an OTA signal which that option is unavailable anyway.
