Can anyone confirm this?

I don't have a HDMI capable TV yet (may be a couple of years), but I definately want to use it for i.Link and my existing TV, which only has component RGB inputs.

Thanks,

Patrick

Actually that 858Ai doesn't have RGB output those are Y Pb Pr outputs there's a difference. They are essentially the same thing except RGB is alittle better but that doesn't matter they way DVDs are encoded. RGB I believe provides full bandwidth for luminance and color while the other only provides full bandwidth for luminance and half for color but that's the exact way DVDs are encoded so it doesn't matter. I guess you could say RGB is 4:4:4 while Y Pb Pr is 4:2:2.

I also think you made a mistake in saying RGB because I believe that is only available in a cable that looks like a VGA cable and isn't three separate cables like component is. Anyways the 59AVi will have Y Pb Pr component outputs.

Daniel,

Correct, I made a mistake. I should have just said component out. :)

Thanks,
