Does the Pioneer 5070/71 use a cooling fan?

I don't know. In the manual I read something about a fan. However, many posts in this area state that it does not have a fan.


If it does, I can't hear it at all--even from close range. The set makes no noise.

If there's a fan, I've never heard it on my unit, and I've never heard reports from others who have heard it either.


There is a buzz from these sets that ranges from extremely quiet to slightly annoying depending on the particular set you get. This is present in pretty much all plasmas though.
